Can the unbleached muslin sleeve be dyed?
The unbleached muslin sleeves can be dyed any color using a safe fabric dye, and then washing the sleeve in Synthropal, a detergent product, which is available from Dharma Trading Company.
Can I use Quilters Hangup® on quilts I've registered in quilt shows?
Yes! Quilters Hangup® was designed to satisfy the 4" regulation size for all quilt shows.
What if my quilt is wider than 3 yards?
Generally, we've seen people divide the sleeve into three 1-yard segments, which are installed
one on each end and one in the middle. As another alternative, you can sew multiple sleeves
together to install across the entire length of the quilt.
Can I use one Quilters Hangup® for more than one quilt?
Yes you can! One sleeve can be divided into 2-3 segments (36" - 54" wide) to accomodate
multiple quilts.
Do I have to remove the sleeve before washing my quilt?
Absolutely not! It is appropriate to leave the sleeve on the quilt for washing, drying, and even dry cleaning.
I installed my Quilters Hangup® sleeve. Now what?
- Hang it! There are several ways to do this. To make it even easier, we have discovered a few friends who can help!
